Atheist Morals

Phil Johnson preached at big church yesterday on the first commandment.

Very well done.

As illustration of atheism, he talked a bit about the wretched demise of Madalyn Murray O'Hair, the infamous crack-pot atheist woman who got prayer removed from school and founded American Atheists.

I would love to see a bio mini-series made on this woman's life that illustrates the folly of atheism.

I crashed the American Atheists Convention when it was held in San Diego durung the 1980's. I even met Madalyn Murray O'Hair herself. Of course, I didn't blow my cover. I went there to check out their book fair--it was disappointing; I had a better collection of atheist books than that outfit.

Don't give the narcissistic woman so much credit. Although SHE claimed to have "taken prayer out of the schools," her case was a footnote to a suit filed by a Bible-reading family from Pennsylvania, who wanted The State taken out of their children's prayer life, same as the Christian and Jewish families who wanted a state-homogenized prayer taken out of the New York school system the year before. O'Hair was just waiting for a chance to go into atheism as a business. And of course, she died for her gold, not her nonbeliefs.
