Speed Cooking

Warning: This is certainly not for the faint of heart, squeamish, or those who have an eco-"Disney-fied" view of animals.

Everyone else will find it oddly amusing in a cross-cultural discomforting manner.

If you are planning on foreign mission overseas, you may want to take note.

Well, at first my humorous thought was to wonder whether Phil knew about this.

But actually, watching it all, I think it's appalling and inhumane (Proverbs 12:10). I've raised my boys to kill trout they intend to keep immediately and quickly. This is... not good.

But Dan we need to celebrate cultural diversity. And sometimes we may think the foods of other cultures are icky and we must over come such mean-spirited notions.

I do find it strange that there are people who may actually eat "live" animals like that. Of course, as soon as I saw it, I facebooked Phil.

The inhumane aspect is true. At least the snake got whacked right at the first, the poor fish had to suffer through all the cutting and frying.

Nobody needs food that fresh. It's just cruel (in the case of the fish).
