The Worthlessness of Postmodern Theology

I saw this clip over at the Biblical Thought blog. An outstanding comment on the worthlessness of the emergent/postmodernist's abilities to genuinely minister to those who desperately need the gospel.

Fred, you know what gets me? The actors depicted a person with "real need," and a person without "real answers." The Emergent's "relationality vs. rationality" false dichotomy is truly false, and displayed as such, since in the greatest moment of need, they are unable to "relate" at the deepest level of intimacy: the soul.

In this video clip from ER, the communal/missional vision of the emerging church is utterly worthless; hopeless. The woman should have just told the dying man that Jesus came to reconcile people together, not God and man.

I'd like to see the look on the dying man's face upon hearing that!

I saw that. It's really tragic, and so accurate. Rank unbelievers get what many who call themselves Christians -- er, excuse me, "Jesus followers" or whatever -- don't.
