Driscoll on MacArthur

Mark Driscoll sat down with some guy named Michael Corley to talk about his life and pastoral ministry. Around 11 minutes into the interview, he is asked about other men who minister to him and has some extreme kind words about John MacArthur.

No matter what folks may think about his methodology, I do appreciate that the guy is head in the right direction.

Mr. Fred, I no so optimistic. Mr. Mark spend more time highlighting how he no will criticize Mr. John. He no say he will change after Mr. John write. He pretend take high road but no give inch to Mr. John letter.

If Mr. Mark so open to Mr. John, why he no say he answer letter from Mr. John? Radio interview sound like he receptive, but he no do nothing after he get letter. He just talk and say, "When I get to LA, maybe I talk with Mr. John."

That no commitment to nothing, Mr. Fred. Maybe he do change, but this interview no indicate that.

At least he no bait Muslim. That good.

There is certainly some truth with that. I am glad to know the guy is pulling around himself seasoned, much more sound individuals than who he use to run with.

If he is ever in So. Cal., maybe Phil and John can set up a meet and greet and engage in some "conversation" with him in person.

Have you listened to Mark Driscoll on podcast? I listen to him often and am blessed most of the time. His series on Philippians was really well done. I really have grown in my preaching as well from hearing him.
